Captain Harry Brook's unbeaten century, coupled with three-fors from fast bowler Ethan Bamber and offspinner Euan Woods powered England to their second successive victory at the Under-19 World Cup, with seven wickets and 123 balls to spare. Bangladesh, having opted to bat, found themselves 27 for 4 within the first nine overs and struggled to recover. A 94-run fifth-wicket stand between Afif Hossain (63 off 85) and Aminul Islam (31 off 64) provided the semblance of stability before they lost four wickets for 14 runs. From 135 for 8 in the 36th over, they best they could do was try to last their full quota. They fell four balls short.
